Competition entry costs 500RMB, which includes transportation to and from the venue, food and hotel accomodation.

For spectators, the travel package, including hotel, food and transportation from either Haikou or Sanya is 400RMB.

The stunning Le Meridien Resort Shimei Bay is offering a special package for the event.
X Marks the Spot
Riyuewan is about an hour's drive from Sanya up the East coast of Hainan.
It is about two hour's drive from Haikou in the North of the island. Both Sanya and Haikou have airports.
Surfing Hainan will be running coaches to the event from both Sanya and Haikou.
Le Meridien Resort Shimei Bay is the nearest luxury hotel, a ten-minute car journey from the competition site.

 For the first time ever in China, we will be bringing you live action direct from Hainan. We will be relaying the action live online in English and Chinese, with photos and video highlights updated throughout the competition.

You can never have too much of a good thing. The first Surfing Hainan Open was in January 2009.
We decided that November is a more suitable time of year, for all kinds of reasons. So, less than a year later, we're already back for more.
The second Surfing Hainan Open is going to be bigger and better than the first, with more sponsorship, more riders, just more of everything really. Here's what the first event looked like.
